Email MK Tools

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Email MK Tools (emailmktools.com) publishes guides to email marketing software. There are no accounts, comment forms or newsletter sign-up forms on this site. This page explains the little data that is processed when you visit, and what you can do about it.

Analytics: Google Analytics 4

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google, to count visits and see which pages are read. GA4 sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>) that store a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted. Google receives your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from the IP, the pages you view, the referring page and timing information. Google states that GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.

We also record when a link to a vendor is clicked (an outbound_click event with the vendor name, the page and the link's position on the page), so we can see which guides are useful. We don't receive your name or email address from GA4, and we don't combine GA4 data with any other data about you.

How Google uses this data: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. GA4 data is kept for the retention period set in our GA4 property (Google's default is 2 months for user-level data; aggregated reports are kept longer).

Hosting: Cloudflare

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the service from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and request time in short-lived logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Email you send us

Mail sent to [email protected] passes through Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards it to a private mailbox. Cloudflare doesn't store the message content beyond delivering it. We keep your message and address only to answer you, and delete them on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to its processing. Because GA4 identifiers are random, we usually can't link them to you, but you can write to [email protected] and we'll help as far as we can. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
