systeme.io Pricing 2026: Your Biggest Account Sets the Bill
systeme.io costs $0, $17, $47 or $97 a month, with limits per account and sub-accounts on every plan. What that means for one brand, several, and agencies.

Hover over the row labelled "Sub-accounts" in systeme.io's pricing table and a tooltip opens:
"With systeme.io, every plan allows you to create unlimited sub-accounts. Each sub-account is a fully fledged systeme.io account with its own full set of limits."
The next line finishes the thought: "The limits for each sub-account are the same as those of your main account's plan, at no extra cost."
Neither sentence appears next to a price. I saved ten third-party pricing pages while researching this one: five don't mention sub-accounts, three tie them to the $97 Unlimited plan, and systeme.io's own pricing FAQ does the same.
The tooltip changes what the four prices mean. systeme.io sells a plan per login, and that plan's limits on contacts, tags, funnels and courses apply inside each account on its own. If you run one business with one list, nothing changes: that list sets your plan. If you run two brands, three projects or a handful of clients, the bill is set by the biggest of them, not by all of them added together.
Bottom line first: systeme.io's paid plans cost $17, $47 and $97 a month in October 2026, or $170, $470 and $970 a year, and the Free plan holds 2,000 contacts. Startup was $27 until spring 2025. If you run more than one brand, price the largest on its own, because each sub-account gets your plan's full limits at no extra charge. You need the $97 plan only when a single account outgrows Webinar, for example with more than 10,000 contacts, 100 tags, 20 workflows or 50 funnels in one place. Before splitting anything, read what a split costs; separate accounts don't share contacts, tags or automations.
The price list, October 2026
| Free | Startup | Webinar | Unlimited | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $0 | $17 | $47 | $97 |
| Annual | $0 | $170 | $470 | $970 |
| Contacts (cap) | 2,000 | 5,000 | 10,000 | Unlimited |
| Tags | 1 | 10 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Email campaigns | 1 | 10 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Automation rules | 1 | 10 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Workflows | 1 | 5 | 20 | Unlimited |
| Sales funnels | 3 | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Courses | 1 | 5 | 20 | Unlimited |
| Evergreen webinars | 0 | 0 | 10 | Unlimited |
| Custom domains | 1 | 3 | 10 | Unlimited |
| Sub-accounts | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
"Unlimited" is systeme.io's word throughout the table. Every plan also lists no cap on emails sent and 0% transaction fees; systeme.io vs Kit prices the fee line, and my systeme.io email review covers how "unlimited emails" meets the sending pools.
Three notes on the ladder.
Annual is ten months. The billing toggle says "2 months free", and the arithmetic agrees: Startup is $170 a year against $204 for twelve monthly payments, which works out to $14.17 a month. The same toggle carries a free-migration label, and any annual plan qualifies for systeme.io's done-for-you move; what that move asks of the plan you buy is worth reading before you choose one.
There's a fifth column without a price. "For teams" offers "Everything in Unlimited, plus a dedicated success manager and support built for teams," and a button marked "Let's talk". I haven't priced it.
The first limit you reach decides the plan, and it isn't necessarily contacts. An eleventh tag or a sixth workflow ends Startup just as 5,001 contacts do. I went through that line by line in the tag-by-tag comparison with GetResponse, including the three warning days before an over-limit account is moved up a plan, so this page doesn't repeat it.
What 2025 changed: $27 became $17
If you've seen Startup listed at $27, you've seen an old price, not a different plan. Archived copies of systeme.io/pricing show Startup at $27 a month from January 2023 through April 1, 2025, beside Webinar at $47 and Unlimited at $97. The copy from September 1, 2025 shows $17. Between those dates the page loaded its prices with a script the archive didn't keep, but posts on X narrow the window. On May 16, 2025, one user wrote that the "Startup plan is now just $17/month (was $27)!" On June 26, systeme.io's own account posted a customer story with the line "Now he pays just $17/month".
The annual badge changed in the same months: "Save 30%" on the May 4, 2025 copy, "2 months free" from the June 12 copy on. I don't have the annual prices from before the change, so I can't tell you whether the yearly bill moved by the same amount.
The limits didn't move with the price. The April 1, 2025 copy, the last at $27, and the October 2025 copy give Startup the same allowances: 5,000 contacts, 10 tags, 10 funnels, 5 workflows and 3 custom domains. Startup got $10 a month cheaper, $120 over a year, for an identical plan.
One side effect is the size of the next step. At $27, Startup sat $20 below Webinar. At $17 the gap is $30, and Webinar now costs 2.8 times Startup, where it cost 1.7 times before the cut.
The old number is still circulating: a yoursolopreneurkit guide dated April 28, 2026 gives the Startup plan "at just $27 per month". Filip Konecny's March 2026 review spotted the mix-up: "Some older official Systeme.io pages and screenshots still show the Startup plan at $27". BloggingLift, whose author says they've used systeme.io for more than three years, logged the change plainly: "Systeme.io cut its Startup plan price from $27 to $17 a month."
The rule the price column leaves out
systeme.io's help article on sub-accounts, last updated May 4, 2026, gives the fullest version. Sub-accounts have no cap "even with a free plan", and "Each sub-account is a fully-fledged systeme.io account that comes with the same resource limits as your main account, depending on your current plan." Its example uses Startup's 10 funnels, and it says the same goes for "courses, contacts, emails, tags, and more."
systeme.io announced the change on X on May 1, 2025: "Each subaccount now has the same limits as your main account." On Startup, the post said, "you get unlimited subaccounts, EACH with its own full Startup limits (at no extra cost!)". The tooltip, the plan table (which reads "Unlimited" under all four plans) and the systeme.io/sub-accounts page, which calls the feature "available on all plans (including the free plan)", say the same thing.
Put together, the rule is short. The main plan sets the limits, every account gets the full set, and you pay once. So the plan you need is the one your most demanding single account needs. So to price systeme.io for more than one brand, price the biggest brand alone first, because that's the number these sources say the bill follows.
Two kinds of page say otherwise, and they're the ones a buyer meets first. systeme.io's pricing FAQ, marked "Last updated: April 2026", puts "sub-accounts" among the extras of the $97 plan and sends anyone with clients there: "Over 10,000 contacts or if you manage clients: Unlimited at $97/month." The same FAQ gives Startup "unlimited funnels", where the table and the plan card say 10. Third-party guides repeat the Unlimited version: DeMe Marketing (August 18, 2026) says Unlimited "adds sub-accounts", and LeadStruct suggests running clients "on Systeme.io sub-accounts at the Unlimited tier".
I go with the table, the tooltip and the help article: they agree with each other and with the 2025 announcement, and the FAQ also contradicts the table on funnels. I'd still screenshot the tooltip on the day you split, because from outside I can't tell whether the FAQ is the stale part of the page or the first part to be updated.
Five setups, priced
These setups are hypothetical, built to show the rule. The contact and tag counts are mine; the plan each needs comes from the limits table above. Annual prices are in brackets.
| Setup | One account | Split into sub-accounts | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| A. Two brands: 4,000 and 3,500 contacts, 8 and 7 tags | Webinar, $47 ($470) | Startup, $17 ($170) | $30 a month; $300 a year on annual |
| B. Three projects: 9,000, 6,000 and 3,000 contacts | Unlimited, $97 ($970) | Webinar, $47 ($470) | $50 a month; $500 a year on annual |
| C. Two small projects: 1,200 and 700 contacts, each with 1 tag, 1 course and 2 funnels | Startup, $17 ($170) | Free, $0 | $17 a month; $170 a year on annual |
| D. Six clients, 600 to 4,800 contacts each, 14,800 in total | Unlimited, $97 ($970) | Startup, $17 ($170) | $80 a month; $800 a year on annual |
| E. One brand at 12,000 contacts, one at 1,000 | Unlimited, $97 ($970) | Unlimited, $97 ($970) | Nothing |
A crosses two lines at once. Together the brands hold 7,500 contacts and 15 tags, past Startup on both counts. Apart, neither passes 5,000 contacts or 10 tags. Even if 2,000 people are on both lists, the merged account still holds 5,500 unique contacts and still needs Webinar.
C is the cheapest outcome and needs the most care. Merged, the two projects need 2 tags, 4 funnels and 2 courses; Free allows 1, 3 and 1. Split, each fits Free. But each project then lives with Free's single tag, campaign and workflow.
D gets its own section below, because systeme.io's pages price it three ways.
E is where the rule stops. A split can't price an account below what that account needs alone, and a 12,000-contact brand needs Unlimited wherever it sits. If what you're weighing is a stack of separate tools rather than another plan, I priced a Carrd, Stan Store and EmailOctopus stack against Free and Startup.
The same arithmetic runs somewhere odd if you push it. Cut one list of 20,000 into ten accounts of 2,000 and each fits Free. I wouldn't treat that as a pricing option. The help article presents sub-accounts as the answer to managing "multiple projects or clients", and a list cut into ten is one audience in ten places: each piece gets its own single tag and single workflow, and anyone who belongs in two pieces becomes two contacts. The terms don't mention sub-accounts at all, and I found nothing from systeme.io endorsing a split like that. The help article does threaten suspension for another use of sub-accounts, quoted below.
What a split costs you
Separation is what a sub-account is for. In practice, going by the help article and the plan table, it means:
- Contacts don't pool. Each account counts its own contacts against its own limit. A person on two brands' lists exists twice, with two subscription states, and nothing I read says an unsubscribe in one account reaches the other.
- Nothing links automations across accounts. The help article doesn't describe tags, rules or workflows that reach across accounts, and the plan's limits on each apply per account.
- Sharing means copying work, not lists. You can share "sales funnels, newsletters, email campaigns, courses, and custom blocks" between accounts. Contacts and tags aren't on that list.
- Reports and payments split too. "You benefit from distinct statistics for each sub-account," and each sub-account can use its own payment gateway. For separate brands that's the aim, though the main account keeps "an overall view" of the sub-accounts.
- Each account needs its own setup. Every sub-account has its own subdomain and its own custom domains, within the plan's per-account limit. Whether each one also sends from its own pool, with its own reputation, the help center doesn't say. For a new brand that matters, and the pool rules explain why.
Three systeme.io pages, three prices for an agency
Setup D is where systeme.io's documents disagree most, and the disagreement is the entire bill.
- The sub-accounts help article (May 4, 2026) puts clients in sub-accounts under your plan. Six clients that each fit Startup cost $17 a month.
- The agency help article (June 23, 2026) says to create an email address for each client, then "sign up for a paid plan or start a free trial using your client's email address", and add yourself as administrator. That's one subscription per client: six Startup accounts at $102 a month, or $1,020 a year on annual, whoever pays.
- The systeme.io/sub-accounts page says "one systeme.io Unlimited plan covers all clients — no separate subscriptions per client". That's $97. The same page also says "The sub-accounts feature is available on all plans, including the free plan."
So the same six clients cost $17, $97 or $102 a month depending on which systeme.io page you follow. My reading is that the agency article describes an older way of giving clients their own accounts, and the sub-accounts article describes the current feature, since the May 2025 announcement and the pricing table both back the second. That's my inference, not something systeme.io states. If you run an agency, that's the question to put to support in writing before you quote a client.
One agency owner asked a version of it in r/systeme_io on Reddit, under a May 2025 post announcing the change: "If a typical client only needs one custom domain and usually has fewer than 10,000 contacts, can I subscribe to the Webinar plan at €47 per month and then provide subaccounts for my clients?" A systeme.io affiliate, not staff, replied: "You understood everything, that's exactly it." That matches the sub-accounts article. The asker's next question is the one I'd want answered in writing too: "do you grandfather these contracts, or would I be required to accept the new conditions?"
The sub-accounts article also carries a warning. Offering sub-accounts publicly as lifetime deals, or "at prices lower than systeme.io's official subscriptions is considered a violation of our Terms and Conditions" and can get the account suspended. Running clients in sub-accounts is allowed; reselling sub-accounts below systeme.io's own prices isn't. BloggingLift adds a practical limit: "Systeme.io lets you create sub-accounts, but it wasn't built for agencies managing dozens of clients at once."
Moving between plans, and leaving
Upgrades are prorated only on a card. systeme.io's help article on plan changes (October 7, 2026) says that for card payments "the remaining time on your current subscription will be converted to a free trial during the upgrade," with the new plan's full price charged when that trial ends. PayPal subscribers get no such credit: "Since PayPal does not support prorated payments, you will be charged the full price of the new subscription."
Going back down, and being moved up automatically, are covered in the GetResponse comparison: support handles downgrades, and a paid account that stays over a limit is upgraded after three daily warnings. Neither help article says how that works with sub-accounts, that is, whether one sub-account crossing a limit moves the whole plan up while the main account sits inside it.
Cancelling archives rather than deletes. The pricing FAQ says that when a cancelled account is over 2,000 contacts, the extra contacts "are archived — they are not deleted". Paid time isn't returned; the terms rule out refunds on subscriptions.
The price you pay is the price on the order. The terms say "The price of items can be changed at any time", and that an order keeps the price stated when it was placed. For an annual plan, that covers the year you've paid for. The terms don't say what a renewal will cost.
Free's sales ceiling may or may not multiply. Free accounts stop taking payments at $10,000 in lifetime sales, a limit systeme.io vs Kit works through for sellers. Whether each Free sub-account gets its own $10,000, I found nothing either way.
Where these numbers could break
- I haven't opened a sub-account. Everything about how one behaves comes from systeme.io's help center, pricing page, sub-accounts page and its May 2025 post on X.
- The same-limits rule is about 17 months old, the terms don't mention sub-accounts, and they let prices change at any time.
- The pricing table loads its figures with a script. I read a rendered copy on October 8, 2026, and checked the limits against archived copies from 2025.
- Open questions: whether one sub-account crossing a limit upgrades the whole plan; whether Free's $10,000 sales ceiling counts per sub-account; whether each sub-account has its own sending pool; whether the help center's inactivity process, which starts with a warning email at five months, runs per sub-account.
Plan by structure, not headcount
- One brand, one list: sub-accounts won't change your bill. Your plan is set by the first limit you reach, so count tags and workflows as well as contacts.
- Two or more brands with separate audiences: price the largest brand alone, and plan for each brand to run on its own contacts, tags and automations. Then buy the plan that brand needs on systeme.io's pricing page: Startup at $17 as soon as it needs a second tag or more than 2,000 contacts, and every sub-account gets the same limits at no extra charge. Free works only if even the largest brand fits one tag and 2,000 contacts. Build the biggest brand first, then add the second as a sub-account and check its limits before moving anyone in.
- Agencies: ask support in writing which of the three agency set-ups applies to you, and keep clear of reselling sub-accounts below systeme.io's prices.
- One account above Webinar's limits: Unlimited at $97, however you arrange the rest.
- If a page quotes Startup at $27: check its date. That price ended in spring 2025.
FAQ
Is systeme.io's Startup plan $17 or $27?
$17 a month, or $170 a year, on October 8, 2026. It was $27 until spring 2025; archived copies show $27 on April 1, 2025 and $17 on September 1, 2025, and posts on X mention $17 from mid-May 2025.
Do sub-accounts cost extra?
Not according to the help article, the pricing tooltip or the sub-accounts page, which all say sub-accounts come at no extra cost on every plan. The pricing FAQ lists them under Unlimited, and the agency help article describes paid accounts per client.
Can a sub-account be on a different plan from the main account?
Nothing I read describes that. The help article says each sub-account comes with "the same resource limits as your main account", so if one brand needs Webinar, every account under that login is on Webinar.
Which plan do 8,000 contacts need?
Webinar at $47, if they're one list in one account. If they're two separate audiences of 4,000, each using ten tags or fewer, two accounts on Startup at $17 cover them, as in setup A.
What does annual billing save?
Two months: annual is ten times the monthly price, so $34 a year on Startup, $94 on Webinar and $194 on Unlimited.
Is there a systeme.io discount code?
systeme.io's pricing page offers the annual toggle, not codes. One affiliate-run page whose web address still advertises a 40% discount now says in its own text that "the old 40% promotional claim is not a verified current offer."
