systeme.io vs Leadpages (2026): Price Your Funnel in Pages

Leadpages sells publishing by page count; systeme.io counts funnels and steps. How to turn your funnels into both counts, with three businesses priced.

systeme.io's own Leadpages comparison opens with a number: "Save $444 per year That's if you choose our free plan over Leadpages' Standard plan." A few lines down it adds that "Leadpages' Standard plan starts at $49 per month." The $444 works out to $37 a month for twelve months, which was the annual rate for Standard.

Leadpages' pricing page doesn't sell a Standard plan any more. It sells two families. HTML Pub is the publishing layer, priced by how many pages you can put live. Leadpages proper (Grow, Optimize and Scale) adds testing and optimization on top. I'd have priced Leadpages from that $49 too, since it's the figure most comparisons still quote. A coach weighing Leadpages against Wix on r/Solopreneur two years ago put it the same way: "the cheapest option with them is $50/mo." On October 9, 2026, its ladder started at $8 a month billed yearly, and the unit has changed from a plan to a page count.

That change matters more than the price. A funnel isn't one page. An opt-in funnel is a sign-up page and a thank-you page; a webinar funnel adds a replay page; a sales funnel has a sales page, an order page, an upsell and a confirmation. So before comparing, I'd count your funnels in pages, because that's what the new Leadpages bills.

What Leadpages sells now

PlanMonthlyBilled yearly, per monthPages
HTML Pub Starter$10$85
HTML Pub Pro$29$2325
HTML Pub Business$49$3950
Leadpages Grow$99$79No cap listed
Leadpages Optimize$199$159No cap listed

Against today's ladder, systeme.io's $444 claim shrinks: HTML Pub Starter billed yearly is $96 a year. Add the email tool HTML Pub hands its leads to and the gap grows again, past $444, as the priced businesses below show. The better question for a buyer is which of these five rows your funnels land on, so that's where I'd start.

Counting a funnel in pages

The plan table counts pages and doesn't narrow the definition, so I count every page a visitor can load, thank-you pages included. On that count, HTML Pub Starter's five pages hold two opt-in funnels and a homepage, and nothing else. A sales funnel alone uses four of them.

Leadpages also says where the leads go once a form is filled: "Leads flow directly to your CRM or email tool via webhooks." The FAQ adds that submissions "are stored in Leadpages and can be sent to your email marketing tool, CRM, or webhook in real time." Leadpages builds and hosts the pages; the email that follows a sign-up comes from another tool. systemebuilder's roundup files Leadpages under narrow tools for the same reason: "Focused page builder, email and CRM elsewhere."

How systeme.io counts the same funnels

systeme.io doesn't count pages. Its plan table has two funnel rows: sales funnels (3 on Free, 10 on Startup, 50 on Webinar) and funnel steps (15, 50 and 300). Its help center treats a step as a page: "You can add a new page to your funnel by clicking + Add step." So the four-page sales funnel above is four steps, and the same article describes its webinar funnel as "a specialized 3-page structure."

For most small businesses the funnel row binds first. Free's 15 steps would hold four funnels of three or four pages each, but Free's funnel cap is three. Websites sit on a separate row (1, 5 and 20 by plan), and contacts on another, which caps Free at 2,000 and Webinar at 10,000, with email sending in the same account.

Three businesses, priced

These businesses are invented to show the counting. Prices are monthly rates from each vendor's pricing page on October 9, 2026. The HTML Pub column is pages only. The last column adds Mailchimp Essentials at each list size, because Mailchimp is the first email tool Leadpages names in its integrations FAQ; those are Mailchimp's regular monthly rates, not its first-year offer.

C: twelve funnels across three offers123310436,000Business, $49$159Webinar, $47

A. Six pages are one past Starter, so HTML Pub lands on Pro at $29 a month. On systeme.io, two funnels with four steps fit Free, and so do 1,500 contacts. On the Leadpages side, Mailchimp Essentials for 1,500 contacts is $26.50, so pages and email come to $55.50 a month.

B. Fifteen pages still fit Pro's 25. On systeme.io the fourth funnel is one past Free's three, so the account moves to Startup at $17 a month, $12 less than Pro on page prices alone. Mailchimp Essentials at 3,000 contacts is $75, which puts the Leadpages side at $104 a month: $87 more than Startup, or $1,044 a year. That's more than twice the $444 on systeme.io's own page. The page understates the gap because it prices a retired plan and leaves out the email tool. This is the business I'd put on systeme.io's Startup plan, at $17 a month or $170 billed yearly, with 10 funnels and 5,000 contacts.

C. Forty-three pages fit Business's 50, at $49. Twelve funnels are past Startup's 10, so the systeme.io bill becomes Webinar, $47, with 50 funnels and 300 steps. The page prices are $2 apart, so the email tool decides the gap: Mailchimp Essentials at 6,000 contacts is $110, which makes the totals $159 and $47. If a C-sized business plans to add more than seven pages in a year, HTML Pub's next step is Grow at $99.

When contacts move first. Give business B a list of 6,000 instead of 3,000 and the systeme.io side changes before the funnel count does. 6,000 is past Startup's 5,000, so B lands on Webinar at $47, while HTML Pub stays on Pro at $29, because it doesn't count contacts. The email tool on the Leadpages side does count them: Mailchimp Essentials at 6,000 is $110, so HTML Pub's side comes to $139 against Webinar's $47. For a list that size, page prices stop being the main number.

Across the three, the page count moves HTML Pub, and the funnel count moves systeme.io. For a business with four to ten funnels and under 5,000 contacts, that lands on Startup.

What Leadpages' money buys

Leadpages describes itself as "a landing page and conversion optimization platform," and the plans above HTML Pub are where that second half lives. Grow adds manual A/B testing, dynamic text replacement (matching page copy to the ad a visitor clicked) and lead enrichment, which Leadpages sums up as "Know who's visiting before they fill a form." Optimize adds Smart Traffic, which routes each visitor to the variant most likely to convert, plus click and scroll heatmaps and auto-personalization. Testing is absent from the HTML Pub plans by Leadpages' own FAQ: "It is not included on the HTML Pub publishing plans (Starter, Pro, and Business)."

systeme.io lists A/B tests by plan too: 1 on Free, 10 on Startup and 50 on Webinar. Its table doesn't list heatmaps, traffic routing or lead enrichment.

Leadpages also says every plan has no traffic cap: "No traffic caps on any plan."

When Leadpages is the better buy

When testing is the job. A team that runs paid ads to landing pages and changes them weekly based on results gets heatmaps, Smart Traffic and copy matching on Optimize. None of those appear in systeme.io's table. For that team, the $199 is a testing budget, and Leadpages' pricing page lays out which plan holds which tool.

When the email tool is already paid for. If your list already lives in an email tool you like, HTML Pub's page price is the whole extra bill. At A's six pages that's $29 a month, or $23 billed yearly, and nothing moves.

When you're already on an older Leadpages plan. Leadpages tells existing customers "Your account and price stay the same," and that A/B testing, dynamic text replacement and AI page creation "are now included at no extra charge." A Standard customer weighing systeme.io should compare against their own invoice, not today's ladder.

Read that promise next to the renewal notice, though. Leadpages' Trustpilot listing stood at 2 out of 5 from 443 reviews on October 9, and the 1-star review closest to this page's subject came from a long-time customer in July 2025, who wrote that Leadpages would "allow me to max five ladingspages [sic] being published" once his old plan was retired. Five is HTML Pub Starter's count. Leadpages replied that its support team had "offered several options to potentially reduce your pricing per year." If you're on an older plan, check the renewal email for a page cap as well as a price, then count your live pages against the ladder above.

When pages, not funnels, are the work. A site made of many single landing pages for ads, each with no follow-on steps, uses HTML Pub's count efficiently and systeme.io's funnel count poorly.

If none of those fits, the funnel count points to systeme.io. Some people switch for the bundle as much as the count: in a May 2025 Capterra review, Adela D., a mindset coach, listed Leadpages among four tools she'd left for systeme.io (Teachable, Kit and Hotmart were the others), with one reason: "Because I wanted to have everything in one". My guide to every systeme.io plan row goes past funnels, and the comparison with ClickFunnels covers the other big funnel builder.

Counting your pages

List each funnel with the pages a visitor moves through, confirmation page included, and add your standalone site pages: that total picks the HTML Pub plan, at 5, 25 or 50. Count the funnels alone for systeme.io, where 3, 10 or 50 picks the plan, and check contacts against 2,000, 5,000 or 10,000. Then price the email tool you'd pair with HTML Pub and compare the two totals.

I haven't run a campaign on HTML Pub or on Leadpages' new plans. The plan figures come from each vendor's pricing page, read on the day listed under Sources, and the three businesses are illustrations.

FAQ

Does Leadpages still have a Standard plan? Not on its pricing page. The ladder now runs HTML Pub Starter, Pro and Business, then Leadpages Grow, Optimize and Scale. Leadpages says existing customers keep their current price.

Does Leadpages send email? Its pricing page says leads go to "your CRM or email tool via webhooks." Plan on a separate email tool.

Which is cheaper for four funnels? On page prices, systeme.io Startup at $17 against HTML Pub Pro at $29. Add Mailchimp Essentials for 3,000 contacts and the Leadpages side is $104 a month.

Do HTML Pub plans include A/B testing? No. Leadpages' FAQ says testing "is not included on the HTML Pub publishing plans (Starter, Pro, and Business)." It starts on Grow.

Does Leadpages cap traffic to my pages? No. Its pricing page says there are no traffic caps on any plan. The plans are priced by live pages instead.

How does systeme.io count funnel pages? As steps: 15 on Free, 50 on Startup and 300 on Webinar. For most businesses the funnel count binds first: 3, 10 and 50.
