ClickFunnels Launch vs Scale: Launch Builds, Scale Runs
Can ClickFunnels replace a stitched-together stack? Which jobs Launch covers, which only Scale ticks, what the step costs, and what to check in the trial.

The question usually arrives as a list of tools. One marketer on Reddit put it this way: "My dilemma is whether I stick to my current stack (Webflow, Mailchimp, HubSpot, a course platform which requires a lot of effort to link together) or use ClickFunnels since it claims to bundle everything?" The plan was a ladder: a "low-ticket e-book, then a course, then consulting."
ClickFunnels can hold most of that ladder. Which plan it takes depends on a split that the pricing page's feature table makes clear once you open it. Launch ticks the parts you build and send yourself: the website, the blog, funnels and checkout, up to three courses, a community and email broadcasts. It shows a dash for the parts that run without you: Automations, Appointments, Calendars, Countdown Funnels and webhooks.
So sort your stack into two piles before you look at prices: what you build, and what runs on its own. If anything in the second pile is coming with you, the plan is Scale, and the real cost is the step from Launch to Scale set against the tools you get to cancel. Everything below comes from ClickFunnels' pricing page and help center as they stood on October 9, 2026.
The two piles
| Job in your current stack | ClickFunnels app | Launch | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website and blog | Site & Blog | Yes | Yes |
| Landing pages, funnels, checkout | Funnels, Smart Checkout | Yes | Yes |
| Course platform | Courses | 3 courses | 6 courses |
| Member community | Community | 3 | 6 |
| Newsletters and one-off emails | Email (broadcasts) | Yes | Yes |
| Welcome series and follow-ups | Automations (workflows) | No | Yes |
| Booking calls | Appointments, Calendars | No | Yes, 5 calendars |
| Deadline offers | Countdown Funnels | No | Yes |
| Sending data to your own code | Webhooks and API | No | Yes |
The first five rows are the build pile. Launch covers them, within its limits: 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails a month, 3 courses, 5 custom domains, 2 team members and 1 workspace.
The last four rows are the running pile. ClickFunnels' email help separates the two ways to send: "Broadcasts for one-time messages and Workflows for automated sequences." Workflows live in the Automations app, and the pricing table shows a dash for Automations on Launch. A welcome series, a cart reminder, or the follow-up after someone downloads your e-book is a workflow.
One discrepancy to know about. ClickFunnels' help article on pricing, last updated March 18, 2026, still lists "Appointments" among Launch's features. The pricing page's table, as of October 9, shows a dash for Appointments and for Calendars on Launch. If booking is on your list, check it in the trial before you rely on either.
Price the step, not the plan
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly |
|---|---|---|
| Launch | $97 | $81 a month |
| Scale | $197 | $164 a month |
| Optimize | $297 | $248 a month |
From the help center's pricing article, a year of Launch is $970 and a year of Scale is $1,970. The step between them is $100 a month, or $1,000 a year on annual billing.
That $1,000 is what the running pile costs you on ClickFunnels. Put it next to what you pay now for the tools in that pile, typically a scheduler and an email platform with automations, and you have the comparison that matters. If you'd keep those tools anyway, Launch is the plan. If moving them in is the reason for switching, Scale is.
Scale also brings 75,000 contacts, 300,000 emails a month, 5 workspaces, 5 team members, priority and live chat support, custom code and webhooks. Those are reasons to pay for it on their own. The running pile is the reason most single-business owners hit first.
Three stacks, sorted
The e-book, course and consulting ladder. Take the Reddit marketer's plan. The e-book and course fit Launch: checkout, a course, a site. Consulting needs booked calls, and an e-book funnel often comes with a follow-up sequence. Both are in the running pile, so the full ladder on ClickFunnels is Scale. Keep the booking tool and do follow-ups by broadcast, and it's Launch.
The Leadpages page and a newsletter. One Trustpilot reviewer, Think Autonomous, wrote in July 2026: "I've had my landing page hosted on Leadpages for years." They moved: "I went to Clickfunnels, and the experience is incredible." Landing pages plus a newsletter sent by hand is the build pile, so this kind of move fits Launch. If you're weighing Leadpages against other page builders too, my systeme.io vs Leadpages comparison prices funnels in pages.
Email, website and booking in one place. Emily Bewley, in September 2026, described this move from the inside: "I am saving myself over £100 per month by migrating all of my email, website and appointment booking into one space." Booking puts that stack in the running pile, which on today's table means Scale.
If you keep an outside email tool
Plenty of people keep their email platform and use ClickFunnels for pages. One user on r/buhaydigital, setting up ClickFunnels for a client who used ActiveCampaign, wrote: "I don't know how to connect them without using a 3rd party app." A reply said: "You can integrate Clickfunnels in to AC directly." The same commenter explained it sits in ClickFunnels' integration settings and needs only an ActiveCampaign API key.
ClickFunnels' help article on third-party apps describes two parts. You connect the app under Workspace Settings, then Integrations. You send data to it from a workflow: in the Automations app, add a 3rd Party Integration step. The pricing table ticks 3rd Party Integrations on every plan and Automations from Scale up. If you plan to run Launch with an outside email tool, test that connection in the trial before you commit to a year.
Moving in
These steps come from ClickFunnels' help center, and the order matters. Connect your domain first: courses can only use the Site domain, and you need a domain before you can add a sending address (the temporary @clickfunnelsmail.com address is for testing only and allows 100 emails). Then add your sending address and business address under Workspace Settings, then Email Settings, and import contacts from Customers, then Imports. The file must be a CSV under 50 MB with an email column mapped, one import at a time, and ClickFunnels' caution applies: contacts "must be over 18 and must have given permission to receive marketing communication."
Next, rebuild the site and courses. Site & Blog is added to every workspace by default; in a new course, modules and lessons start as drafts, so publish each one. Rebuild the running pile last, on Scale: workflows for your sequences, then the Appointments app with your calendar and conferencing tool connected.
Getting help during the move
If you're moving a whole stack, you'll probably need help along the way, and ClickFunnels' Trustpilot page is mostly about that. Read it with its context in mind: of the 80 most recent reviews I saved, 76 are marked as invited and 78 show five stars, so it tells you how support conversations end more than how the software compares. What it does show is the form help takes. Mario Toth described being able to "jump on a quick Google Meet call and actually solve the problem live on screen with someone who knows the platform inside out."
ClickFunnels' own support article describes email replies "within 4-8 hours during business hours" and live chat Monday to Friday, 3:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern. It asks you to describe what went wrong, what you've tried, and what you expected, with links and "a screenshot or short video." The pricing table lists Standard support on Launch and Priority & Live Chat from Scale.
Which plan
For someone replacing a stack that includes booking or automated email, ClickFunnels Scale is the plan that covers both. It's $164 a month billed yearly. For pages, checkout, up to three courses and broadcast email, with booking and automations kept in tools you already pay for, Launch at $81 a month billed yearly covers the build pile.
Either way, the trial is where to check the two things this guide can't settle from the documentation: whether Appointments shows up on Launch, and whether your outside email tool connects without a workflow. ClickFunnels' pricing FAQ describes a 14-day free trial followed by a 30-day money-back guarantee, "a total of 44 days." If you downgrade later, your existing content stays, but you can't create new items past the lower plan's limits.
If more than two people will log in, seats can decide the plan before any of this. My systeme.io vs ClickFunnels comparison works through that.
FAQ
Does ClickFunnels Launch include automations?
Not on the pricing page's feature table as of October 9, 2026, which shows a dash for Automations on Launch and a tick from Scale up. Automated email sequences run as workflows in the Automations app.
Can I take bookings on ClickFunnels Launch?
The pricing table shows a dash for Appointments and Calendars on Launch, while the help center's pricing article, last updated in March 2026, lists Appointments under Launch. Check in the trial.
How much more is Scale than Launch?
$100 a month on monthly billing, or $1,000 a year on annual billing ($970 against $1,970). That step pays for the running pile: automations, appointments, calendars and webhooks. Put it next to what you pay now for a booking tool and an email service with automations. If you'd keep those tools anyway, Launch is the plan.
Does ClickFunnels take a cut of my sales?
No. Its pricing FAQ answers that question with "You'll keep every penny you make."
How many courses can I host?
Three on Launch, six on Scale, ten on Optimize.
How long can I try ClickFunnels before I'm committed?
Its pricing FAQ describes 14 days free, then a 30-day money-back guarantee, so 44 days in all to check the Appointments and integration questions above.
